CRN Recognizes Laurie Desroches for Leading the Data-Aware Charge in the Channel

Our channel partners are an extension of our team, and they have been since day one. We take care in building relationships with value-added resellers (VARs) and other channel partners in order to reach the markets and businesses where data-aware storage can be the most helpful. However, we’d never be able to establish, maintain and grow these relationships without an expert in-house group of channel pros. DataGravity is lucky enough to have team members with deep expertise in championing new technology adoption, promoting education and empowering our partners with everything they need to help customers visualize and address risks, insights and opportunities in their data.

We’re not the only ones who are taking note of that channel expertise. CRN has named Laurie Desroches, director of channel sales operations at DataGravity, as one of the top 2015 Women of the Channel and one of this year’s up-and-coming channel professionals. Laurie was an integral part of the DataGravity early access channel program, building it from the ground up with the team and working directly with the first partners who ever tested data-aware storage. Few people know the real-world storage and IT industry needs, pain points and successes as well as she does. This work informed the DataGravity Discovery Series launch, and it continues to shape our sales and partnership strategies today.

Over the next year, Laurie will help lead DataGravity in rolling out new training and enablement resources for our partners. One reason we’re looking forward to this hinges on a point she brings up in her Q&A with CRN – one of the top pieces of feedback we receive from new partners is that although DataGravity is a startup, it functions like a mature company when it comes to partner service.
