What the Industry is Saying About the DataGravity Early-Access Channel Program
This year’s VMware Partner Exchange was a turning point for DataGravity. The opening of our early-access channel program represents a shift in how businesses will learn and gain insights from their unstructured data – and the industry took notice. We spent the week speaking with industry experts, press and analysts about our early-access channel program, which officially opened to the reseller community on February 10.
Here are some highlights from our recent conversations with the media that covers our industry:
Barb Darrow, senior writer at GigaOM, called DataGravity “one of the most anticipated unveilings of the coming year.” Barb knows the industry well, and she pointed to our executive staff’s history of building successful partner programs, noting that EqualLogic was a partner-friendly storage company.
It wasn’t just Barb who was taking notice of the successful partner relationships that Paula and John built during the EqualLogic era. T.C. Doyle, a veteran of the channel industry and executive editor of Channel Partners, highlighted the team’s track record, writing that it is “not surprising that the two have attracted some serious investment.” Additionally, T.C. described our early-access partner program as being a “bit more” than just a beta channel program because the pedigree of our company is channel-focused.
James Gaskin of ChannelPro SMB quoted John about our team’s track record in the channel, saying, “Our channel partners found EqualLogic to be lucrative, and we’re going to do that again going forward.” Gaskin showed a lot of confidence in where we are going with our channel program, noting that resellers that “work with storage products from EMC, NetApp and the like should be able to sell DataGravity.”
VMware blogger Duncan Epping, TechTarget’s Dave Raffo and others also showed interest in our new program. All of these articles touch upon details of the technology, giving readers enough information to get excited about what is to come from us as we roll out the early-access channel program and begin working with some great partners.Like This
